OUR TRAINING STANDARDS
To be able to carry out pest management operations, each ADC technician must:
Have a minimum of 3 years experience in either pest or weed control operations
Have completed Certificate II in Pest Management or Certificate II Conservation and Land Management
Hold a current St Johns Senior First Aid certificate
Hold a current Smart Train Chemical Application Certificate (or willing to complete the course)
Undergo training in the driving of 4WD vehicles, with an accredited provider (for remote contracts)
Undergo an induction program at commencement of employment, covering the company policies and procedures, including awareness of the company quality system
Undergo 2 weeks of supervised training followed by random on the job checks to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities related to the process as well as the company’s quality system
Undergo training when assigned to a new task or work area or a new chemical is introduced
Competency will be assessed on the job and will identify any areas requiring follow-up training or on-going supervision. The competency will be reassessed every 2 years or when there is a substantial change in pest control processes.
